KLIP Lifestyle presents selected posters and illustrations of award-winning poster and graphic artist Max Skorwider.
Knife in the Water (Polish: Nóż w wodzie) is a 1962 Polish drama film co-written and directed by Roman Polanski, which was nominated for Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. Polanski's first feature film, it features three characters in a story of rivalry and sexual tension.
Knife in the Water has garnered acclaim from film critics since its release, and is one of Polanski's best-reviewed works.
The Polish poster boosts an exceptionally colourful and rich history. Once the object of artistic expression, which brought Polish creators international fame - today increasingly occurs in a domesticated version. We love Polish Posters for their light form, the sense of humor, the economical aesthetics - and for the fact that they inspire us to think and look deeper. The poster would not exist without cinema and music. These inspirations are particularly close to Max Skorwider.
